Calibre Bikes: latest reviews, news and buying advice

Calibre is the in-house brand for outdoor sports giant Go Outdoors. Its bikes are known for their impressive value for money and intelligent spec choices.

Calibre’s award-winning Bossnut shook the industry in 2015, showing just what a sub-£1,000 full-sus bike could do. Since then the brand has continued to push the boundaries, making high-quality frames with decent components more accessible.

Calibre's bikes mainly fall within the realms of mountain, adventure and road, and we’ve reviewed many of them very favourably.

Calibre’s road offerings are mainly focused around comfort, endurance and practicality. The Rivelin is its lightweight performance bike, which comes with a range of specs and there's a women’s-specific model too called the Loxley.

Built around sportive geometry are the Lost Lad and Lost Lass, designed to let you put in the miles while staying comfortable and fresh.

Calibre 2019 mountain bikes

For mountain bikers there’s a significant range on offer at incredible value. The Two 3 is the brand’s entry-level mountain bike, and there’s also the Rake, a 29er hardtail trail bike that’s built for speed and effective cornering.

The Line 10 and Line 20 are UK trail-focused hardtails with a slack front end, which come equipped with a dropper post and 1x drivetrain.

The Bossnut Evo is the next generation of the famed Bossnut, providing game-changing quality for under £1,000. It features a RockShox Recon RL fork, internal post routing for a dropper, SRAM NX 1x11 drivetrain and comes in a women’s model.

Finally there’s the Triple B, the result of building on the success of the Bossnut and Beastnut. With 140mm of travel at the front, a SRAM NX 1x11 drivetrain and a dropper seatpost, this full-sus monster is a bargain.
